Beach Streets Long Beach Is Back: Join Us on Broadway This Sunday, July 19
There are a handful of days each year when Long Beach stops being a place you drive through and becomes a place you truly experience. Beach Streets is one of them. On Sunday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the city closes a stretch of its busiest corridors to cars and hands them back to the people. Bicycles, strollers, skateboards, wheelchairs, runners, and neighbors simply out for a stroll take over the pavement, and the whole city seems to exhale.
Here at Bellissima Medical Spa, we have a front-row seat, located at 2238 E Broadway, we sit directly on this year's route. We could not be more excited to celebrate alongside our neighbors.
What Is Beach Streets Long Beach?
Beach Streets is the City of Long Beach's open streets event. The concept is beautifully simple: temporarily remove vehicle traffic from a major corridor and open it up for walking, biking, rolling, and gathering. What emerges is a reminder that our streets are not just transportation infrastructure. They are public spaces, and they belong to all of us.
The event began in 2015 and has since traveled through neighborhoods across the city, from Uptown and Bixby Knolls to Cambodia Town, Zaferia, and Wrigley. This year it returns to Downtown Long Beach and the Broadway corridor, and organizers are calling it the longest Beach Streets route yet.
Beach Streets 2026: Kickin' It Downtown
This year's edition carries a special energy. Beach Streets 2026 doubles as the grand finale of the city's Soccer in the LBC celebrations, with big-screen watch parties for the tournament's final match and family-friendly soccer activities woven throughout the route. The event is hosted by the City of Long Beach and presented by LA Metro.
The Route
This year's route spans downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods, including Pine Avenue from First to Ninth Street, Broadway from Pine Avenue to Redondo Avenue, Cherry Avenue from Broadway to Fourth Street, and Fourth Street from Cherry to Junipero. Festival hubs are planned at Pine Avenue, the East Village Arts District, Fourth and Cherry, and Bixby Park.
What to Expect Along the Way
A welcome ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on the main stage at Bixby Park, 130 Cherry Avenue.
Live music, DJs, and performances at entertainment hubs across the route.
Family-friendly activities, from face painting to kids' soccer and art activations.
Local storefronts and community groups hosting their own celebrations along the way.
Big-screen viewing of the tournament's final match, right in the heart of the action.
We Are Right on the Route: Say Hello on Broadway
If you are riding, walking, or rolling down Broadway on July 19, you will pass right by us. Bellissima Medical Spa is located at 2238 E Broadway, between Cherry and Redondo, in the heart of one of the most beloved stretches of this year's course.
Broadway is one of the most human-scaled streets in the city, lined with cafes, historic architecture, independent shops, and neighborhood storefronts. Without cars, it becomes something else entirely: a place to linger. We hope you will slow down, look up, stop in, or wave as you pass. Our community is what makes this street special, and we love nothing more than seeing it filled with our neighbors.
Proud to Call Long Beach Home for Over Five Years
Bellissima Medical Spa has been part of the Long Beach community for more than five years, and we do not take that for granted. We are a boutique, appointment-only medical spa, which means we know our clients by name. Many of them are our neighbors. They live in the East Village, walk their dogs through Bixby Park, and grab coffee down the block.
Being a local business is not just about an address. It is about showing up. It is about supporting the events, the shops, and the people that give this city its character. Beach Streets is a celebration of exactly that, and we are proud to support it.
Make It a Day: Beach Streets and a Little Self-Care

Planning Your Beach Streets Sunday
Getting There
Because the route closes major streets to vehicles, the easiest way to arrive is on two wheels or two feet. Metro is a presenting partner this year and encourages attendees to take public transit, with special activities planned at the First Street A Line Station.
Come Prepared
Bring water. July in Long Beach can be warm, and you will be moving for hours.
Wear sunscreen. Your skin will thank you, and so will your future self.
Plan for street closures if you are driving into the area, and give yourself extra time.
Bring the whole family. This event is designed for every age and every ability.
See You on Broadway
Beach Streets is a reminder of what Long Beach does best: come together. For five hours on Sunday, July 19, Broadway will not be a road to rush through. It will be a place to gather, to explore, and to reconnect with the city we all share.
